Betty Toews

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Betty Toews of Omaha passed away peacefully at 93 years of age. 

Betty will be dearly missed and remembered by her children Julie (Mark), Martin (Stephen), Katherine (Mick), and Mary (Gene); grandchildren, Veronica (Neal), Elizabeth (Tyler), Kristine (Steven), Cecilia, Glenn (Simi), Emily, Ronald (Jessica), Charlotte (Ellyse), and Ryan (Stephanie); great grandchildren, Danica, Ezra, Atticus, Waverly, Mickey Munroe, Lennox, Wesley, and soon to arrive Mackenzie; Step-Grandchildren, Dan (Sara), Alicia (Adam); step-great grandchildren, Kylie, Zoe, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Cecilia Robinson, siblings, Patricia, Lois, and son, Michael.

A private family celebration of life will be held later this year. No public services are planned. 

Memorials in Betty's name are encouraged to Peaceful Hearts Hospice, Dreamweaverfoundation.org, and/or Arbor Care Center - Valhaven. 

Mom will be remembered for her many interests. She appreciated art, good food, tasty wine, dancing, and socializing - Betty never met a stranger and was talented at making connections with everyone. Betty adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom retired from Younker's Kilpatricks at The Westroads after 26 years. Betty was 'The Children's Shoes Lady '! Mom took great pride in providing excellent customer service. She was recognized by management many times for her productivity and care for her customers. 

Mom would love it if all who knew her would raise a glass of wine along with a piece of special dark chocolate and toast to The Good Times!
