Clarice Mary Goodell passed away on March 9, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. She was 70 years old. Born in 1954 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of Clarence Carstens and Helen Carstens (Irwin).Clarice's grew up in Omaha and eventually moved to Norfolk where she Graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School in 1972. Clarice married William (Bill) Goodell, with whom she shared more than two decades and 3 children. Clarice completed her nursing degree in 1996 and spent several years as a traveling nurse working in Arizona, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. She then became a surgical nurse in Omaha and eventually retired after nearly 30 years of nursing. She is survived by her brothers Dean and Gene Carstens, her children, Tracy Goodell (Emmet Beiser) of Omaha, Scott Goodell of Hortonville, WI, and Amy Goodell of Omaha. She was a proud grandmother to Andy, Alex, Ellie, Sam, Gabe, Liam and Henery. Following her wishes there will not be a formal service, but a gathering of family and friends at Tracy and Emmet’s home in Omaha at 10027 Gary Street in La Vista, NE 68128 on Friday 3/14 from 4-8 pm.
