Cynthia Kay Bayless

March 20, 1945 — February 21, 2025

Cynthia "Cindy" Bayless, 79, of Louisville, NE, passed away February 21, 2025. She was born March 20, 1945, in Greeley, Colorado. Cindy was raised in Roswell, New Mexico, where she graduated from Roswell High School in 1963. Cindy married in 1964 and moved away from Roswell soon after, eventually ending up in Las Vegas, Nevada where she raised her three children. The Vegas valley is where she called home for 50 years. Cindy was a home maker for 16 years before she started less demanding work outside the home. She worked in several art galleries around town before landing her most notable position with the Chainery Jewely store at the Boulevard Mall in 1988. She worked her way up from salesperson to manager. As manager she had an amazing run of success for over 15 years. In 2008, Cindy retired from the Chainery to spend more time with family and her pets. A vibrant and beautiful person, she loved animals and rescued many from the humane society over the decades. An avid traveler, she visited locations throughout the United States and even Europe. As much as she loved animals and travel, she loved being a grandmother most of all. She is survived by her sister, Patsi Hughes, her brother Jimmy Hughes; her children, Katherine, Laura and Robert Edwards; her beloved grandchildren, Justin, Allyssa, Ashley, Jessica and Michael Edwards; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City.
