Ronald Louis Daeges, known affectionately as Ronnie, was born on January 30, 1958, in Harlan, Iowa, and passed away on October 8, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived a vibrant life filled with love for his family, a passion for sports, and a flair for working on cars.
Ronnie cherished moments spent with his family. He was a devoted father to his three children: Brittany (Ryan) Whittington, Adam (Sami) Daeges, and Cody (Ann) Daeges, and a proud grandfather to Donovan, Nick, Elayna, Oaklyn, Maelyn, Ava, James, and Jordyn. His children and grandchildren were among his proudest accomplishments, embodying his legacy of love and dedication.
Ronnie is survived by his siblings: Joe (Joy) Daeges, Steve (Sue) Daeges, Becky (Randy) Miller, and Bill Daeges.
Ronnie had a playful spirit, often described as stubborn yet fun-loving, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He lived by the motto, "I'm right even when I am wrong," exemplifying his strong personality and unique outlook on life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 26th from 2 - 4 PM at the C G Therkildsen Activity Center in Harlan, Iowa, where family and friends are invited to honor and remember a remarkable man who brought joy to those around him. In memory of Ronnie's passion for sports, please feel free to represent your favorite sports team.
