Shelly Renee McPherson

Shelly Reneé McPherson was born November 4, 1967, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Kenneth and Linda (Brown) McPherson. She passed away very unexpectedly at home on December 7, 2023. 

Shelly was baptized at Holy Ghost Catholic Church and confirmed at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Millard South High School, Capitol Beauty School, and Bellevue University (magna cum laude). The majority of her career was spent in the beauty industry as a hair stylist and colorist. 

Shelly was married to Ryan Spangler on July 17, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared a great love of animals. Shelly volunteered at several area animal shelters and they fostered and adopted a number of dogs over the years. 

Shelly was preceded in death by her mother, Linda McPherson, and her grandparents, Francis and Marie McPherson and William and Bernice Brown. She is survived by her husband, Ryan Spangler; father, Kenneth (Dawn) McPherson; parents-in-law, Regan and Ann Spangler; brother, Shawn (Paige) McPherson; and three beloved nieces, Blake, Harley and Ryan McPherson; as well as countless friends.
